JAMIS DRAGON PRO 26” Large Reynolds 853 Steel Hardtail MTB (1998?). I cannot remember exactly when I bought this frame. I do know I purchased it on eBay about 20 years ago. I think it's around 1998 vintage, though I am not certain. I can remember riding it a Perry Hill in Waterbury around 2003 or so. (I bought my first full-suspension bike, a Santa Cruz Blur, in Fall 2003, so I don't think this has seen many miles since then.) This is a Large, 19" frame, 26er. As a mountain biker, this is the lightest bike in my quiver right now. I haven't ridden this in years but did lend it to a friend for a few weeks who had moved back to VT during Covid. He loved it but was destined for a modern trail bike once they became available again. While he had it, the 2003 Marzocchi Marathon suspension fork blew up, so I just mounted up a (2000) Surly 1x1 fork. I've ridden around the neighborhood, and it feels comfortable and fast. I kinda want to keep this as a gravel/trail bike, but I already have too many bikes. The Reynolds 853 frame is so nice. I included enough images to give you an idea of the component spec. It's good stuff- mostly Shimano XT M740 series from the late 90's. The V-brake cantilevers are LX from the same era. One vintage highlight is the pair of Suntour XC Pro/XC Expert thumb shifters. They are so much smoother than Shimanos. It has a more modern 700mm riser bar and a nice 90mm Bontrager stem. The chain is at .75, so it will ship with a new Sram pc850 chain. Pedals and bottle cage are not included. I prefer local pickup. If you need it shipped, it will take me 2-3 days to pull together, as I need to source a bike box. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
